Nintendo Direct: Xenoblade's Pyra and Mythra to join Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

By Jack Taylor – 18 February 2021

Pyra and Mythra from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will join the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster as a combined DLC fighter next month.

Revealed at the start of the February 2021 Nintendo Direct, Pyra and Mythra - together as a singular fighter referred to as Pyra/Mythra - will be released as the next DLC fighter for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in March. The fighter can be purchased either as a standalone character pack, or as part of the larger Fighter Pass Vol. 2, which also features Min Min, Steve & Alex, and Sephiroth.

Pyra and Mythra are interchangeable during battle, though the mechanics of this are yet to be revealed, and their moveset includes various attacks and moves from Xenoblade Chronicles 2, while Rex joins them for their Final Smash. More details about the fighter will be shared ahead of the March launch.
