Splatoon 3, a brand new game set outside the series' famous Inkopolis and introducing new features, has been announced.
Closing out the February 2021 Nintendo Direct, the debut trailer for Splatoon 3 revealed a post-apocalyptic world outside Inkopolis known as the Splatlands, at the heart of which is the city of Splatsville. Also known as the City of Chaos, this is home to Inklings and Octolings itching for a fight, and sees the return of 4-on-4 Turf War matches.
New features seen in the trailer include a new bow weapon, multiple options for customising the player's Inkling character, and new movement abilities. More features and in-depth details can be seen in this Twitter thread from the Nintendo UK VS account.
More information about Splatoon 3 will be revealed in the future ahead of its 2022 release.
