Pokémon GO crossover event revealed for TCG collaboration

More details on the crossover between Pokémon GO and the Pokémon Trading Card Game have been revealed.

The special Pokémon GO expansion of the Pokémon Trading Card Game launches on 1 July, and a new in-game event in Pokémon GO has been announced to take place in the weeks before the launch.

During the event - which runs from 16 to 30 June - special Pikachu wearing a TCG-themed hat will appear in the wild, and Wimpod and Golisopod will make their GO debut, as both will feature in the TCG expansion. Mewtwo will also appear in legendary raids in Pokémon GO during the event as well.

New cards from the TCG expansion have also been revealed, including a Pikachu with the same TCG hat as mention above, plus Radiant Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise - special cards showcasing the shiny versions of the Kanto starter Pokémon. A special full-art Mewtwo V card is also included in the set.
