Min Min joins Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster

By Jack Taylor – 22 June 2020

Min Min has been revealed as the next Super Smash Bros. Ultimate fighter, alongside a Vault Boy costume for Mii Fighters and new amiibo for Joker and Hero.

Revealed in the latest Super Smash Bros. Ultimate presentation - which can be watched in full above - Min Min from ARMS joins the game as the first playable character from the game's second Fighters Pass. She'll be available as part of the pass, or as standalone DLC, from 29 June (30 June in Europe).

Min Min has three unique ARMS weapons at her disposal, each of which can be used in a variety of ways, with differing strengths and weaknesses. Her Final Smash features numerous ARMS fighters, including Spring Man, who is an Assist Trophy in the game. Accompanying her is the new Spring Stadium stage and 18 music tracks from ARMS.

Also launching alongside Min Min are new Mii Fighter costumes for Ninjara (ARMS), Heihachi (Tekken), Callie, Marie (both from Splatoon), and - not to be outdone by Sans or Cuphead - Vault Boy from Fallout. The game will be updated to Version 8 at the same time, with one announced new feature: spirit battle rematches will be available from the spirit inventory, allowing players to take on spirits again and aim for a high score.

Finally, two new amiibo were revealed for Joker and Hero, both of which are due to release at the end of this year. Sakurai also confirmed that amiibo for all DLC fighters are planned in the future.
