Nintendo and LEGO have revealed a brand new LEGO kit based on the Nintendo Entertainment System, with added LEGO Super Mario support.
Alongside the LEGO NES system, the kit includes three other buildable elements - a 1980s-style TV unit, a NES controller and a Super Mario Bros. game cartridge, which can even slot into the control deck. The kit launches on 1 August from LEGO retail stores and the website, then will be sold elsewhere from next year.
The LEGO NES also includes compatibility with the LEGO Super Mario sets, which also launch on 1 August. Using a Mario figure from that series by placing it on the TV, the scrollable world of Super Mario Bros. can come to life with sounds and reactions.
The kit will retail for £209.99 in the UK and $229.99 in the United States.
