Nintendo Direct: Chocobo GP announced for Nintendo Switch

Square Enix has revealed Chocobo GP, a new Chocobo racer coming exclusively to Nintendo Switch next year.

Revealed during the latest Nintendo Direct as a Nintendo Switch exclusive, Chocobo GP is a colourful new racer from Square Enix, featuring many recognisable aspects of the Final Fantasy series including characters, locations, and items.

Players can pick up items such as magicite to use magic skills including Fire and Aero, which can even be powered up. Characters such as Chocobo and Gilgamesh are playable in customisable vehicles, while tracks such as Cid's Test Track will be featured. Local and online play are both included.

Chocobo GP launches for Nintendo Switch in 2022.
