Axiom Verge 2 announced, coming to Nintendo Switch in 2020

By Jack Taylor – 10 December 2019

Thomas Happ's hit 2015 title Axiom Verge is to receive a sequel, due to launch for Nintendo Switch at the end of 2020.

Announced by Happ at the end of Nintendo's latest Indie Showcase, Axiom Verge 2 will delve into the origins of the universe introduced by the award-winning Axiom Verge.

Though it takes place in the same universe as its prequel, Axiom Verge 2 promises new characters, enemies, powers, and a new world to explore - an alternate Earth, hidden in the depths of Antarctica.

According to Happ, the game has been in development for about four years - which would have been around the time Axiom Verge was first released.

The debut trailer for Axiom Verge 2, which launches in 2020 for Nintendo Switch and additional platforms yet to be announced, is above.
